Minimize What Did Jesus Do?

Jesus asked for help.
John 4:7 “There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.”
Jesus asked for a drink of water. He had no tools to retrieve the water from the well so he asked for help. Many times I have not asked for help because I didn’t want to bother anyone. I discovered I was ashamed for having normal human needs. We all need help it is a blessing to both parties. The following scripture shows him doing it again.
John 4:8 “For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.”
Jesus let others do his shopping. He let other people help him. Here is a possible example of dividing up the work based on best use of each person’s time. Only Jesus could do His work by leaving others to do regular tasks, Jesus was free to do what He did best. It is of great use in our own lives and in our world’s economy. When we specialize in wh

Jesus rested when he was weary.
John 4:6 “Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.”
This is welcome news this time of year. I used to tell myself that it was wrong to rest, take a break, take a nap, and play a bit. I had to be productive. Here we see Jesus setting the example weary equals rest. Go ahead and follow Him. I doubt he over-did it on the resting. I doubt you will either.

Jesus was well known in the area.
Luke 4:414 “…and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”

Fame. Often we think we want it. Some have it and wish they didn’t. Some seek it for others it is thrust upon them. It is a mixed blessing at best. If it comes to you, you are in good company. The question seems to be what to do with it. Jesus just kept on delivering His message and living His life. It might be a good pattern for us to follow no matter how famous we are. To follow His example here we would not let our fame corrupt us or turn us into someone else.
